CodeFire Blasts Off with Successful E3 Debut
Company Press Article
Friday, May 31, 2002

This year marked CodeFire's first booth at the annual Electronic
Entertainment Expo (E3) trade show, and the company's debut was
extremely successful in helping the company exceed its goals.
Despite the booth's placement behind a 30-foot wall at the back of the
Sony booth, foot traffic was heavy throughout the show. Word spread
quickly about the fun and involving gameplay of Starcadia,
CodeFire's first title for the Xbox Live system, scheduled for launch
later this year. Of course, having an incredible, futuristic looking booth
and the best babes at the show didn't hurt! CodeFire President and
CEO Michael Williams and other executives met with numerous
publishers and media representatives over the three-day period
with tremendous results. Everyone was blown away by the
performance of Starcadia and the presentations of in-the-works
projects, and the enthusiasm for CodeFire's business model and
upcoming plans kept people wanting more. Based on activities at E3,
CodeFire should have some exciting announcements in the future.

Analyst Christopher Shilakes reiterates
intermediate-term "buy" and long-term "strong buy" ratings on
Microsoft after hearing a presentation on Xbox Live, Microsoft's
initiative to allow video game players to communicate with one
another via voice over broadband-only networks. Shilakes expects
"considerable interest" in the service from gamers, given that 100,000
signed up for a chance to be beta testers.
Microsoft plans to expand Xbox sales into Mexico, Hong Kong,
Taiwan, Singapore, Korea and New Zealand, Shilakes adds.
